The fantastic site MakingStarWars.net has posted some interesting, spoilery information concerning a possible new  Star Wars VIII Stormtrooper (and other familiar Imperial armors with upgrades) in Episode VIII.  Here is a bit of information from the site, but I highly suggest you visit them via the source link at the bottom of the article.

I think it is safe to say FN-2199 was the breakout star Stormtrooper of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In Episode VIII there is a featured Stormtrooper that is a force to be feared in the film. I’ve heard him referred to as The Executioner and other minor variations of that name. He has a matte black line that goes over half his mask on one side that sets him apart.
