Long time Star Wars collectors might remember original Kenner photographer Kim Simmons, also known as “The Man Who Shot Luke Skywalker”, from his previous three Kenner Star Wars Photography books. Now a fourth volume of his photography is ramping up production. In book number four, Kim will be focusing on the action figures produced from 1994-2000.

Kim DM Simmons began photographing Star Wars toys for Kenner in 1981 when he started working for Kenner’s previous photographer, Roy Frankenfield. He eventually took over as the main photographer and continued working with Kenner all the way through the 1990s after Hasbro’s acquisition of the company and up until 2001.

The first three books feature full-color high resolution photos of everyone’s favorite shots from the most recognizable packaging from each era of Star Wars at Kenner, as well as some of the more obscure images.
