The Last Jedi Spoilers Via LEGO Sets

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

SPOILER ALERT!  Do not continue unless you want to have parts of Star Wars: The Last Jedi spoiled for you!

Still here?  Then let’s proceed, but remember, you have been warned!

It seems that Supreme Leader Snoke has been revealed via a LEGO box thanks to the fine folks at the Facebook page StarWarsNewsHub.  Along with Snoke, we get a look at Captain Poe Dameron, and a presumably First Order version of a “BB” unit.

The spoilers include a look at the characters from three different LEGO sets.  I can’t make out the first set which features Snoke, but the second is definitely a new Walker vehicle from the upcoming film.  The third set is also difficult to make out, but gives us a look at Vice Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern’s character).

Snoke definitely looks different from his hologram form, which means he is using some sort of disguise in the film to fool people as to who he really is.  Captain Poe Dameron sounds interesting, as if maybe he takes Han’s spot as the Captain of the Millennium Falcon?  Let the theories fly…

UPDATE – Snoke comes in the First Order Star Destroyer Set, Captain Poe Dameron comes in the First Order Heavy Walker set, and the other set is the Resistance Bomber set.  (thanks to instagram user delta.customs)

UPDATE 2 – Looks like the images have been taken down. This is the Internet though, so I am sure if you look hard enough, they are around…

What do you think of the looks?  Leave your comments in the appropriate places…

The Reason for the Color of Luke’s Lightsaber at the End of ‘The Last Jedi’

Published

We are entering SPOILER territory here folks. If you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi, then look away!

We have all been wondering exactly why Luke chose to manifest himself on Crait with Anakin’s blue lightsaber in his final duel with Kylo Ren. Heck we have even speculated on our Podcast here before. Now though, Rian Johnson has spilled the beans to IGN, given us the answer as to the reason for Luke having Anakin’s lightsaber in his hands again.

“[Luke] is basically tailoring this projection to have maximum effect on Kylo,” Johnson explained. “He knows that Kylo’s Achilles heel is his rage, and so that’s why he kind of makes himself look younger, the way Kylo would’ve last seen him in their confrontation at the temple, and that’s why he decided to bring Kylo’s grandfather’s lightsaber down there — the lightsaber that Kylo screamed at Rey, ‘that’s mine, that belongs to me.’” As far as Johnson’s concerned, Luke believes that Anakin’s lightsaber will have a much more visceral impact on the erstwhile Ben Solo than Luke’s own green blade.

But why did Kylo fall for his uncle’s Force Illusion when he saw Anakin’s lightsaber split in half right in front of him? Because, Johnson pointed out, he didn’t actually see it.

“We as an audience saw that… The truth is, we see the lightsaber split in half — Kylo sees a blinding flash of light and is knocked unconscious, and then Rey takes the lightsaber away before he wakes up,” he said. “So if you really want to dig into it and get an explanation, you can say that he doesn’t 100 percent know what happened to the lightsaber.”
