Christian Bale recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and dropped some interesting information regarding Solo: A Star Wars Story. According to the Batman Begins actor, he was up for the role of Han Solo’s mentor, which ultimately went to Woody Harrelson.
“Yes, [it was] very tempting. I not only love the films going back to my childhood but also have a very long relationship with Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall because they did Empire of the Sun many years back. There was discussion, [and] I hope there will be future discussions.”
The “future discussions” he refers to could bear fruit. Christian Bale is a big fan of the Star Wars films, and admits to still having the Millennium Falcon and an AT-AT in his personal collection.
