Funko Announces SDCC Star Wars Exclusives

We are just a few weeks away from the biggest pop culture event of the year, in San Diego Comic-Con 2015.  As we edge closer and closer, toy companies have started revealing their exclusives for the convention, and historically these exclusive items sell out during the show and demand large sums of cash after the fact.

Today Funko has revealed a couple of Star Wars exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con.  The first exclusive is a gold chrome C-3PO POP! vinyl figure.  The company has released several versions of this particular sculpt including a regular edition and exclusives for Celebration 2015 (E-3PO) and the 2015 Galactic convention version (E-3PO).

The second exclusive comes in the form of a Hikari 501st Clone Trooper.  The clone trooper will be limited to only 1,500 pieces.  This one has the basic clone armor from the prequel trilogy with fantastic metallic blue highlights that make the figure stand out among other clone troopers.

Over the years, San Diego Comic-Con has become the focal point for the world of comics conventions. The event continues to offer the complete convention experience: a giant Exhibit Hall (topping over 460,000 square feet in its current incarnation); a massive programming schedule (close to 700 separate events in 2014), featuring comics and all aspects of the popular arts, including hands-on workshops and educational and academic programming such as the Comics Arts Conference; anime and film screenings (including a separate film festival); games; the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, the “Oscars” of the comics industry; a Masquerade costume competition with prizes and trophies; an Autograph Area; an Art Show; and Portfolio Reviews, bringing together aspiring artists with major companies.
