In my travels this Summer, the wife and I took a cruise to the Bahamas.  One of our stops was Nassau.  I thought that finding any Star Wars collectibles on this trip was going to be like finding a needle in a haystack.  I was almost proven right as we went from store to store checking out the various things for outlanders to purchase.

We were almost about ready to head back to the ship, when my wife saw a store that she thought might be interesting.  The name of the store was Del Sol and from the looks of it, I thought it was going to be another T-shirt shop among many on the island.  However after entering the doors, I noticed this place was different.  There was a Star Wars and Marvel logo that adorned the wall as you walked in on the left.

I quickly eyeballed the entire store from the entrance looking for these Star Wars items, and lo and behold, there was an entire section in the back dedicated to a galaxy far, far away!  Upon first glance, I thought this was just another group of Star Wars t-shirts and that would have been fine, especially since the contained some amazing classic Star Wars artwork.  But these were not your average Star Wars shirts.  These were Color Changing Star Wars T-Shirts.

The gist of these special shirts is that they change color in sunlight.  In the store (as you can see in the C-3PO and R2-D2 example images below) the art on the shirts are typically one color, then when put in sunlight, they miraculously turn into full color works of art.

There were several options to choose from and in the end I settled on an X-Wing vs TIE Fighter space battle scene. These are some of the coolest shirts you will ever find, and I implore you to seek these out.  This was definitely a pleasant surprise an otherwise “Star Warsless” vacation.

If you aren’t planning a trip to the Bahamas any time soon, you can always order directly from their website.  Check out the pictures of the store display and examples of the way the shirt works, below.
