News just broke of Star Wars: Obi-Wan, a new five-issue miniseries from the Marvel, in May. The upcoming series is being written by Christopher Cantwell and drawn by Ario Anindito. The series finds Obi-Wan in the final days of his time on Tatooine, chronicling earlier adventures in his own journals (which were previously referenced in Marvel’s Star Wars series).

Each issue of the series will cover a different stage in Kenobi’s life; as a guardian of peace and justice, including his days as a Jedi Initiate, Padawan missions, experiencing the Clone Wars as a Jedi Knight, and facing new threats as a Jedi Master. What new surprises will this book reveal? I guess we will be waiting until May to find out.

With Darth Vader on the initial cover, it is a safe bet that we will see some familiar characters in this mini-series as well such as Yoda, Qui-Gon and more!

You can check out the awesome cover to issue one below, which features a look at Sir Alec Guinness as older Obi-Wan and Ewan McGregor as young-ish Obi-Wan.

Be sure to check out the source link at the bottom of the article to go to StarWars.com and read an interview with author Christopher Cantwell.
