The Lost Starfighter is a Star Wars fan film from Nick Murphy, Paul Ritchey, and Samuel Hall. It chronicles the misadventures of Blue Squadron as they complete their last day of training. One of Blue Two’s pranks sends Blue Five to the wrong coordinates and into enemy territory.
The Lost Starfighter took almost two years to make from script to postproduction. Actors in full costumes were filmed against green-screen and backgrounds were created and composited using Cinema 4D and Nuke. A full-sized Rodian puppet was created and operated by Monkey Boys Productions (SNL, The Tonight Show, Ben In The Desert), filmed against red-screen, and voiced by Mick Lauer (RicePirateMick). The score was composed by Jared Forman (Star Wars Rebels, Making a Murderer). The Lost Starfighter was directed and written by Nick Murphy & Paul Ritchey from the YouTube series, Continue?, in collaboration with one-man-VFX-guru, Samuel Hall.
