This latest bit of information confirms our previous report concerning Ewan McGregor donning the Jedi robes again. To announce the upcoming series, Ewan McGregor took to the Disney+ panel stage to proclaim his return as the Jedi Master.

The Disney+ panel was the first to announce an all-new Star Wars series in development, one that many fans have been asking to see since the closing scenes of 2005’s Revenge of the Sith. Ewan McGregor, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi, electrified the audience when he emerged following the announcement of his involvement in a new series taking place eight years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, where we last saw Obi-Wan delivering the infant Luke Skywalker to his Tatooine homestead.

Not only did they confirm his return, but Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that the scripts for the show have already been written, and the show will start filming next year.

Currently there is no other information about the show, other than vague rumors of the show being four episodes in length, with McGregor serving as director as well. Stay tuned for more information concerning this series soon.
