Star Wars: Episode IX

Yesterday was Disney’s big shareholders meeting where Bob Iger tells everyone how well Disney is doing financially, and gives glimpses of the future. Part of that future was announcing the opening dates for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but one of the bigger pieces of news was that shareholders at the meeting got to see a glimpse of Star Wars Episode IX.

Of course, that footage will not be made public, but someone attending the meeting shared a tweet about what he saw, giving us an excellent description of the scenes.

SPOILERS AHEAD… If you don’t want to know, then don’t continue on!

Perhaps the biggest news was the fact that Vader’s helmet is making a return. If you remember back to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, one of Kylo’s motivations to stay with the dark side of the force, was talking to his grandfather’s burnt helmet.

The stormtroopers getting blown up in a hangar bay is sort of par for the course in Star Wars, but the blockade runner was interesting. It seems the Resistance (or Rebellion) is using anything and everything to help in the plan to destroy the First Order.
