Following closely on the reveal of the first image from Rogue One last week at D23 Expo, actor Donnie Yen has posted a nice image of Imperial helmets that will be used in the film. Let’s break down the helmets for a moment.
We will start with the obvious which is that the middle helmet is a classic Stormtrooper helmet from the original saga. The first helmet, looks almost Tie-Fighterish, with a hint of clone in it. The last helmet is also reminiscent of classic clone war era troopers, but a very original saga look to it as well.
It is another very interesting look at what is sure to be another great addition to the Star Wars saga!
Rogue One directed by Gareth Edwards, takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe. It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know. The film is set for release December 16, 2016.
