AI Creates a Weird Wes Anderson Star Wars Movie Trailer

Leave it up to the robots to create Star Wars, they said. It will be awesome, they said… Actually, I don’t know if anyone said that, but someone wanted AI to create a Star Wars movie trailer… And it did…

Wes Anderson belongs to a group of filmmakers that emerged in the 1990s with signature, unique stylistic flair that rose from small budget independent films to major award season contenders. Anderson might be scoffed by the coffee shop hipster crowd, but his kaleidoscopic approach to cinema is something no one else will ever be able to master.

It seemed inevitable that Anderson and AI would be paired together to make some sort of weird amalgam of cinematic art. YouTuber Curious Refuge is the mind behind this pairing. Check out the description they provided for this trailer below!

Welcome to the “Galactic Menagerie,” a whimsical and visually stunning fan-made fake trailer that reimagines the classic Star Wars universe through the eccentric lens of Wes Anderson. This enchanting mashup brings together iconic Star Wars characters with Anderson’s trademark symmetrical compositions, pastel color palettes, and quirky humor. Journey to a galaxy far, far away and experience a unique adventure featuring Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and other fan favorites.

Watch as they navigate the Galactic Menagerie, a universe filled with eccentric creatures, charming droids, and peculiar locations reminiscent of Anderson’s beloved films such as “Moonrise Kingdom” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Battle of the Bands, the most prestigious event of the school year is fast approaching at Star Wars High, however Kylo and the Knights of Ren just can’t focus on their practise session! Not until they’ve scoped out the competition… local dreamboat Poe Dameron is entering with The Resistance and they have a new bass player, who happens to be a girl…?!

New Star Wars Fan Film ‘Bucketheads’ Debuts

Looking for some of the best fan made Star Wars films, then this one should be at the top of your list. The folks at Transmute Pictures just released their latest short film ‘Bucketheads’, which takes a look at life from a Stormtroopers perspective.

We’re so very excited to finally share our Star Wars Fan Film BUCKETHEADS, a story from the Stormtroopers perspective! Shot in September 2017 in Vancouver, BC, Canada, it was a wonderful journey, with over 76 people directly involved in this effort to tell a Star Wars Story from the Imperial side.
