Rupert Friend Dodges Grand Inquisitor Fate Question on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

It is a question we all have had since the end of the second episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. After all the Grand Inquisitor’s death would break Star Wars canon, as the character appears in the first season of Star Wars Rebels. A Show that takes place after the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Actor Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor in Obi-Wan Kenobi, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live!, to talk about his stint on the Disney+ show. Of course it didn’t take long for Jimmy to try to pry the information from Friend, about the fate of the Grand Inquisitor.

Kimmel: And then your character got stabbed through the stomach…
Friend: One of them.
Kimmel: One of the stomachs. OK, Because your character has two stomachs, like a hippo or something. So that’s what many of the Star Wars analysts-slash/nerds are saying is the reason you’re able to survive this, is because you have another stomach.
Friend: You know that I survive this?
Kimmel: Yes.
Friend: How?
Kimmel: I don’t know, I’m just throwing it out there to see how you react.
Friend: Great try, though.
Kimmel: No, but I assume you do, otherwise why would you be here right now?
Friend: No, I can see the logic, and I also think you’re making a valiant effort to get me to do a spoiler, which obviously I’m not gonna do.

Even though the whole conversation above was a little tongue-in-cheek, it really seems like we will soon learn the actual fate of the character in one of the last two episodes of the series.
