NEW STAR WARS ARTWORK FROM JEREMY SNIATECKI LOOKS AMAZING!

I have been away for a good while, (for reasons that I may or may not go into on a future date) and while I was gone, the Outer Rim News mailbox was filling up! Going through it I see that we missed quite a few things from everyone, and we really appreciate everyone reaching out to us.

One of the cool items was missed was an email from artist Jeremy Sniatecki, telling us about some amazing Star Wars pieces that he had coming up soon. Since we missed out, I thought it was pertinent to at least post this article showcasing his amazing work that you can currently purchase at ACME Archives.

The primary piece that really speaks to me (most likely because The Mandalorian is so popular right now, and the name of the piece), is the one titled The Outer Rim.

This is a Fine Art Giclee Print Edition. Details are below…

  • $89.00
  • 95 piece hand-numbered edition
  • measures 13″ x 19″ (paper size), 12″ x 16.5″ (image size)
  • sku: SWM1380P
  • comes with certificate of authenticity

Jeremy has a couple of other pieces on the site as well, again centered around The Mandalorian. You can check those two out below, which are titled Arvala 7 and Nevarro. Both are just as awesome as the piece above.

What is a Giclee you might ask?

Giclee (pronounced “zhee-clay”) is an invented name for the process of making fine-art prints from a digital source using inkjet printing. The word was coined to distinguish commonly known industrial “Iris proofs” from the fine-art prints artists were producing on the same printers. The name has since come to mean any high-quality inkjet print and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such. In the past few years, the word (as a fine-art term) has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant “archival” inks and the inkjet printers that use them. A wide variety of substrates are available, including various textures and finishes, such as matte photo paper, watercolor paper, cotton canvas, or artist textured vinyl.

Artist Tom Whalen Creates New Posters for Rogue One

Imperial Forces

Looking for the next great poster to hang on your wall? Look no further than a couple of new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story posters created by artist Tom Whalen. The two new posters are titled ‘Imperial Forces’. They come in two flavors the regular edition (red), and the limited edition variant (blue).

The art may look familiar to you. While the posters are new, the art was repurposed from something you may have seen when Rogue One made its theatrical run.

“This poster was initially a series of three interconnected, collectible tickets that Slidestar created to promote Rogue One. Tickets were given out (one a week) at Regal Theaters during the first three weekends of Rogue One’s release in 2016. The idea was always to have them function as a combined image when placed side by side, [so] I’m thankful we are circling around and finally making the full image available as a poster,” said Tom Whalen.

You can currently order the red version for $50 from DarkInkArt.com right now.
