Looking for new and exciting adventures from Star Tours? Well look no further, because the fine folks at DisneyWorld and DisneyLand are adding a new The Last Jedi planet to Star Tours this fall.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Rian Johnson revealed the name of the desert looking planet which featured ships dragging up some sort of red dust. The planet’s name is Crait.
“It’s way out there. It’s uncharted,” says Johnson. “It’s a mineral planet and so there are mines on it.” The director (previously best known for Brick and Looper) noted how there are some “beautiful design elements” present on Crait some of which are seen in the trailer. “I hope some really unique ones that we’re able to bring into it,” he adds.
Now Disney is featuring this planet in Star Tours. The company revealed the new destination at the Star Wars and Disney Parks: A Galaxy in the Making panel at Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017.
This new Star Tours adventure, first announced by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek last fall, will take guests to the planet of Crait in the middle of an epic battle … and it’s like nothing that frequent Starspeeder travelers have ever seen!
