Thanks to the New York Time’s Brooks Barnes, we now have some new information about the upcoming Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run rider coming soon to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney parks in the United States.
According to his tweet, which you can view below, the ride will have 4 guests in each pod, but can accommodate 1,800 people per hour. CNN’s Frank Pallotta added that the ride will use real-time video rendering technology invented by ILM, that responds to the way guests use the controls to pilot the ship. Oh, and there are 200 controls to use in each pod!!!
I tried a test version of the Millennium Falcon ride as part of reporting. Built in a CA warehouse. I must say, pretty amazing. You're in the cockpit with only a few others. But they will have enough pods to handle 1,800 people/hour. https://t.co/sZqTbu9n7b
