Star Wars: The High Republic is a multi-platform storytelling initiative set in the Star Wars universe, hundreds of years before the events of The Phantom Menace. Taking place during a golden age of the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic, it explores a time when peace and prosperity flourished across the galaxy. However, beneath the surface of this era of enlightenment lies growing darkness, as new enemies like the ruthless marauders known as the Nihil and the terrifying plant-like Drengir threaten the balance.
The series spans novels, comics, and audio dramas, created by a team of writers including Claudia Gray, Charles Soule, Cavan Scott, Justina Ireland, and Daniel José Older. The High Republic showcases a diverse cast of Jedi—each with unique philosophies, abilities, and struggles—as they face moral dilemmas, ancient mysteries, and rising threats. It’s a fresh, expansive addition to the Star Wars mythos, rich with lore, heroism, and tragedy.
