The heat is turning up for the most anticipated racing title in the galaxy. Following a flurry of gameplay trailers and developer deep-dives, publisher Secret Mode has officially released the Star Wars Galactic Racer PC requirements.
If you’re planning to jump into the cockpit of a high-speed podracer or a custom skimmer later this year, you’ll want to make sure your hardware is up to the task. Here is everything you need to know about the specs required to conquer the Outer Rim circuits.
The Official PC Specs
The requirements were shared via a new FAQ on the game’s official Steam page. While Secret Mode noted that these specs are “subject to change” as final optimization nears, they provide a clear target for fans.

Steam Deck Support Confirmed
Portable fans have reason to celebrate. The FAQ specifically addresses Valve’s handheld, stating that Star Wars: Galactic Racer is “great on Steam Deck.” The developers are currently targeting a “high-fidelity” experience at a stable 30 frames per second. While the game hasn’t received the official “Verified” checkmark yet, the team is clearly prioritizing handheld optimization.
The Intel Connection
One interesting takeaway from the Star Wars Galactic Racer PC requirements is the prominent inclusion of Intel Arc GPUs. Observant fans noticed that the game’s official social media accounts follow Intel Gaming, sparking rumors that the title may be an Intel-sponsored release. This could mean we’ll see specialized XeSS support or performance bundles for Intel users down the line.
With a 50GB SSD requirement, the game is relatively lean compared to massive open-world titles like Star Wars Outlaws. This likely speaks to the efficiency of the track-based design chosen by Fuse Games to ensure the fastest possible frame rates during high-speed maneuvers.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is set to launch in 2026. Stay tuned to Outer Rim News for more updates as we get closer to the starting line!
