This R2-D2 is a Target exclusive and is a repaint of the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi R2-D2 figure from 2010. It is repainted in the classic Droids cartoon deco. This figure comes complete with a golden medallion featuring R2-D2 on one side, and the Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary logo on the other. The original MSRP on the figure was $15.99.

Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO was a 1985 animated television series spin off from the original Star Wars trilogy. The series focuses on the exploits of R2-D2 and C-3PO between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The series was produced by Nelvana on behalf of Lucasfilm and broadcast on ABC with its sister series Ewoks (as part of The Ewoks and Droids Adventure Hour).
