With the highly anticipated theatrical release of The Mandalorian and Grogu just around the corner, fans are looking for every possible way to immerse themselves in the galaxy far, far away. While we wait for the big screen debut next month, Gameloft and Apple Arcade are providing the perfect distraction. The popular LEGO Star Wars Castaways Mandalorian event has officially started, offering players a chance to earn exclusive rewards inspired by the hit Disney+ series.
As first reported by Bespin Bulletin, the event, appropriately titled “The Way”, is currently live and will run through April 30th. Whether you are a longtime player or a newcomer to the tropical shores of the game, this month represents a prime opportunity to gear up with some of the most iconic characters in the franchise.
What is the LEGO Star Wars Castaways Mandalorian Event?
For those unfamiliar, LEGO Star Wars Castaways is a social action-adventure game exclusive to Apple Arcade. It allows fans to create their own digital LEGO minifigures and explore a mysterious planet filled with simulations of classic Star Wars moments.
The “The Way” event is a recurring celebration of the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. During this window, players can participate in weekly missions to unlock a variety of cosmetic items, minifigure parts, and vehicles. Because the missions rotate every week, fans will need to check in regularly to ensure they don’t miss out on specific components.
Unlockable Rewards: Minifigures and Microfighters
The draw of this month’s event is the sheer volume of content available. The event features a robust lineup of minifigures and parts, including:
- Din Djarin: Complete with an unmasked option featuring a likeness of Pedro Pascal.
- Grogu: The beloved foundling is a central part of the rewards.
- Moff Gideon and Dark Troopers: Perfect for fans of the Imperial Remnant aesthetic.
- The Armorer and Paz Vizsla: Representing the strength of the Mandalore culture.
- Peli Motto and Cara Dune: Key allies from the early seasons of the show.
Beyond the characters, players can also earn microfighters to use within the game’s simulations. This includes the classic Razor Crest, Din’s sleek N-1 Starfighter, and even Moff Gideon’s Light Cruiser. There are also themed emotes and sandcastle decorations to help customize your island experience.

No Extra Cost for Apple Arcade Subscribers
One of the best aspects of the LEGO Star Wars Castaways Mandalorian event is that it requires no additional purchases. As part of the Apple Arcade subscription, all content is unlockable simply by playing the game and completing the designated missions.
While the game hasn’t received a massive “new” content expansion in some time, the developers at Gameloft’s Montreal studio have done an excellent job keeping the community engaged through these rotating events. Last month featured a focus on Star Wars Rebels, and rumors suggest that May will bring a “Liberation of Naboo” event to celebrate the anniversary of The Phantom Menace.
Prepping for The Mandalorian and Grogu
The timing of this event is no coincidence. With the new movie set to dominate the box office next month, the return of Din Djarin to our gaming screens serves as the perfect appetizer. Castaways continues to be a standout title for family-friendly Star Wars gaming, having previously won the Apple Design Award for Visuals and Graphics.
If you are looking to kill some time and add the Darksaber or a tiny LEGO Grogu to your collection, make sure to jump into LEGO Star Wars Castaways before the event ends on April 30th. This is the way!
