UPDATED with correct time!

As we edge ever closer to the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, news keeps coming out about the highly anticipated film. Today the British Board of Film Classification just announced that the Star Wars: The Last Jedi official runtime is approximately 151 minutes and 38 seconds long. For those that need help with the math (which apparently I do), that is 2 hours and 51 31 minutes.

The runtime means that this will be the longest film out of all the Star Wars movies released. For comparison, Star Wars: The Force Awakens came in at 135 minutes, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was 133 minutes. The closest to The Last Jedi is Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which sits at 140 minutes.

It sounds like we will be sitting in the theater for awhile, but I am sure it will be well worth it. Just remember not to drink too much, so that you will be able to last throughout the whole film.
