Website ekstrabladet.dk recently caught up with the upcoming Star Wars Anthology Series: Rogue One actor Mads Mikkelsen (not pictured in the image above), to talk about his role in the upcoming flick.  While Mikkelsen didn’t reveal any spoilers, he did reveal some very surprising news.  Apparently Mikkelsen, who is known for his villainous roles in Hollywood, will not be playing one in the film.

Thanks to the wonderful Google Translate, we can give you a breakdown of that conversation.

Question: On IMDB your name is listed just Felicity Jones. It suggests that it is a great role. Is it a big role?

Mikkelsen: I have not actually noticed that. It is probably because the other might not have come on the list yet [smiles].

Question: But is it a big or a small role?

Mikkelsen: It is a very important role, as much I can say.

Question: Are you the bad guy?

Mikkelsen: No, my character is actually not of a bad guy, and then I can not say more.

I can also say that the movie will be shot in Iceland and England. And the filming will last for three months.

Rogue One directed by Gareth Edwards, takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe.  It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know.  The film is set for release December 16, 2016.
